Brush create Freeze

Recommended Posts

The first test with the 1.10.5 update creates a freeze of AP.  terminated only by task manager.
The beta has not this problem at all.

This is thew same prblem what you have before. So its not working.
also the is no error report made.

Have test this also from Designer out , and also the AP is freezed up. Designer it self is working.

Could you amend your Performance Preferences Renderer to use WARP, if this doesn't have an impact could you also change the video quality to Nearest Neighbour.

When you are experiencing the freeze how long does this last for?

Well after changed the rendering to warp and opecl off it was freeze up.  Then have changed video to nearest Neighbour, that gives some better results.
After testing some more the settings on the picture are working at the moment for me. I will test this further and come back to it.

Thanks
harry

Oke, I think the problem of freez is when I use the mask tool then the whole app stops working.  The strange thing is that I have no problem with the same file  in the beta 1.10.5.13xx   with the settings you see on the picture

Could you provide us with the file you're working with as an attachment or to the below dropbox link, we'll see if we can re-create the issue.

Could you try the below on the release version of Photo to revert the application to its default settings.

1. Press Win + R and enter %APPDATA% and navigate to the 'Affinity' Folder.

2. Right click the Photo folder and compress the folder to a ZIP to create a backup.

3. On the application shortcut, click once onto the shortcut, hold down control and right click > open the application whilst still holding down control.

4. This will prompt a new menu 'Clear User Data' with three boxes ticked, press the 'Clear' at the bottom right hand corner.

5. Load the application back up and confirm if this has resolved the issue.
