Chris Stotesbury
With the stock version of Affinity, there was no profile for my Olympus 12-45 F4 Pro. I have downloaded the latest database from Github, installed mil-olympus.xml in the lens profile folder via Preferences and restarted Affinity. I have confirmed that mil-olympus.xml contains a profile for my lens (it is the last one). Despite this, opening a RAW file does not select a profile for this, and neither does it appear in the drop-down list. I think I have followed the correct process. What might be going on? mil-olympus.xml
David in Яuislip
Very strange, I can see it using your xml file, the entry <model>OLYMPUS M.12-45mm F4.0</model> matches the second Olympus lens listed. I can't comment on auto selection though The attached file contains only the data for your lens which might be worth a try olympus12-45.xml Quote Microsoft Windows 10 Home, Intel i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz, 16 GB RAM, 500GB SSD, 1TB Whirlygig, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/
Lars Nordberg
The problem with this database is that the Metadata Lens name do not always match with the Lens name in the database. I have a Panasonic lens where I after a lot of trial and errors was successful after renaming the File name in the database to its full Panasonic name, despite a much shorter name in Matadata. My suggestion is that you play around with the file name in the Lens name in the Lens Profile database.

Yep. I managed to find a raw file using this lens: Exif <model lang="en">Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm F4.0 Pro</model> Lensfun <model lang="en">Olympus M.Zuiko ED 12-45mm f/4.0 Pro</model> It works now olympus12-45.xml Quote Microsoft Windows 10 Home, Intel i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz, 16 GB RAM, 500GB SSD, 1TB Whirlygig, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/
Chris Stotesbury
Thanks to both of you. I was getting there myself, but I had been comparing the contents of tag <model> which seemed to match rather than <model lang="en">, which I had assumed to be a display value. Cheers, Chris
ciscrh
I've just bought the OM-5 camera with this lens & Affinity wasn't recognising it. The metadata created in the image files uses a different lens name. So I assume that while the older lenses of this type work with the custom lens profile the newer ones don't. I've created a modified version of David's file, which works for my lens...attached. BTW, lensfun seem to have two XML files featuring this lens: mil-olympus.xml and another file with om in the name & just a single entry for this lens. I'm sorry to be vague, but I find it difficult to navigate the lensfun sites so although I saw & looked at the XML file last night I can't find it today. Having two XML files with slightly different entries for effectively the same lens might cause confusion. om12-45.xml
