I had the same issue in the Liquify persona from time to time - but here it is very reproducible. I am using a M1 MacBook Air 8 gb ram with 12.1 Monterey. I use the MagicMouse two without Popclip! I've tried replicating this here on our M1 MacBook Air and I've thus far been unable to reproduce this issue. Could you please provide a copy of the image used in your screen recording? I would like to see if this is part of the recipe. Secondly, can you please navigate to Affinity Photo > Preferences > Performance and provide a screenshot of your settings here for me? Can you please try unticking Hardware Acceleration at the bottom of the Performance dialog, restart the app as prompted and try refining your selection once again - does this stop the 'square' issue from appearing please? 12 hours ago, TheFiMo said: came across this. seems to be a known issue. I can confirm this is a known issue as mentioned, however you certainly can use the Affinity beta when downloading the app from the Mac App Store!
