Affinity publisher is slow and crashed

More specifically, it works slowly when, it seems to me, it does that softy fade out of selection thing. 

This fade out when I deselect elements is most unwelcome. Is there a way to make it stop and invest all CPU on what actually matters?

Anyway, as I keep selecting, draging, deselecting, editing, and it kinda seems to slow down because of the fade out effect, I have to ignore it.

Now, as I was doing this kinds of tasks, selecting, deselecting, double click on text to edit, deselect, it crashed.

Can you please try turning off the the OpenCL option in the Performance section of the Publisher preferences.
