Creating a new brush (Stich line)

Recommended Posts

I am trying to create a new brush with the following measurements.

1mm 1 mm

spacing 4 mm

with a 45 degree angle.

Should look something like this.

/ / / / / /

I am so close. I was able to get it figured out but it is still not there. Not sure what to put for the following things.

brush width

size variance

opacity variance

pressure head

offset tail offset.

I will attach some pictures.

Brush width should be set to whatever you usually want, but since it’s only a default (and it can therefore be changed at any time) it doesn’t really matter what the initial value is. Size variance should be zero unless you want to allow the size to change over the length of the brush stroke, and the same applies to the opacity variance; choosing ‘Pressure’ as the controller for variance is irrelevant if you aren’t allowing any variance.

You only need to specify ‘Head offset’ and ‘Tail offset’ values if the brush stroke has distinct head and tail sections (e.g. a piece of rope which is frayed at the ends).
