KipV Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I know that a lot of people here are using the CS6 Suite on Mac so I wanted to ask if anyone is using it on El Capitan? Quote My Current Project | Previous Project | First Foray Into Web Design
Jim_Campbell Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 CS6 runs under El Capitan, but you need to install a legacy version of Java to get it to work. You can find the installer here: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=en_US Quote
KipV Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 Ok good. I have heard some mixed reviews on how well it worked so it helps to get a lot of confirmation from others. I just noticed 10.11.2 came out this morning so it looks like it might be a good time to update. I am downloading it now. Quote My Current Project | Previous Project | First Foray Into Web Design
KipV Posted December 12, 2015 Author Posted December 12, 2015 El Capitan works great! LOTS of bug fixes from Yosemite!! Quote My Current Project | Previous Project | First Foray Into Web Design
cptsoap Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Jim_Campbell, hit the nail on the head. I just upgraded 3 MAC's and all needed the Java. But... be ware !!If you are using any kind of VPN software this could be an issue. Quote
KipV Posted September 21, 2016 Author Posted September 21, 2016 I have to tepidly ask this same question again about Sierra. Four MacOS updates after CS6 I am pretty sure this is the end of the road for CS6 but I just wanted to see how others where doing. I will probably just stick with El Capitan unfortunately. One of my computers has Adobe stuff on it and other does not I wonder if I should install Sierra on the computer that does not have Adobe?
