Good evening Affinity,
Another little color problem tonight;-)

When there is a mask "Levels" (or any other settings mask?), And that one uses the pipette ("alt" key with the "Paintbrush" tool), the result color is incorrect. This is toujour darker ...

This is not normal I think ...
In Photoshop, it does not work well anyway. When "pipette" a color, the result is ALWAYS the same color as the one selected.

In advance thank you for your help.
Good night

Hi.

If you make a new pixel layer above the levels adjustment, you get the right colours.

There maybe another solution, but..

- Affinity Photo 2.3.0
- Affinity Designer 2.3.0
-Affinity Publisher 2.3.0

MacOS Sonoma 14.1.2

Ok, but the color that it is painted the color of the resulting layer trimmings ...

If you change the trimming layer, the difference appears ...

You can not paint in these conditions ...
Trimming a layer must be hereby amended without this kind of stress that appears ...

I add an exemple...

It must be possible to paint the same color BEFORE trimming layer does not act !!! Affinity must do this, otherwise it's a disaster for working ...

I do not create a new layer (and any paint again) every time I change a layer trimmings;-) ...: - (((

Hi Cyan282,

Maybe i'm missing something but while this behaviour may be discussible, if you are painting directly on canvas why not picking/choosing the correct colours from the start from the colour panel (or use another tool that affects the colour directly like dodge and burn brushes) rather than using adjustment layers to affect them?
