I was trying to touch up an image by copying one side, flipping the copied layer, then moving it into place on the other side. My first attempt worked just fine but i had realized I hadn't made a large enough copy. So I deleted that layer can made a new selection and copied that, flipped it, but then the move tool stopped working and wouldn't move my selected layer anymore. It only kept trying to make a new selection. I have attached a video of this.

You may have a selection (marching ants) active, offscreen which we can't see in the video

Try...

Select > Deselect (CTRL+D)

then try again

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
