Mr. Doodlezz
Hi guys, since I got Photo I wonder how to use the FFT Denoise filter the way it’s supposed to be used. I never heard of it before and I can’t find a explanation for dummies or a tutorial for it. Someone – please enlighten me! :D Have a nice weekend Dennis
pixfan
Short version: FFT means Fast Fourier Analysis. It means a transformation from the spatial domain (e.g. a matrix or an image) into the frequency domain. Different frequencies are separable there and selected ones can be lowered or eliminated ... such as image noise.
Mr. Doodlezz
Hey pixfan, thanks for your answer. It’s indeed a bit short and actually I feel as dumb as before. :( Do you have an example or something graphic maybe? Like … when and how would I use that procedure on an actual image? Mr. Doodlezz
Oooh well, this is probably the first »help file« that actually helped me understand something – awesome! Thanks for pointing that out MBd! :D Cheers Dennis anon1
anon1
I was´t much into the help files either but as soon as I looked into them more seriously I find them pretty good! I´d personally give them 8 out of 10 points :) I just can´t search the html file in the browser and the german help file which I get from the MAS Version does not help me much cause I´m all english as far as Photography goes ;) Mr. Doodlezz
