William Overington
I have been producing a document using Serif PagePlus X7. This is because I am more familiar with PagePlus X7 than with Affinity Publisher and I wanted to express my thoughts directly. However, there is one character that is from plane 1 of the Universal Character Set in the document, used a number of times and as it is used within a special font that I have produced I have also made the glyph available in the Pivate Use Area of plane 1. So I would like to try to produce an Affinity Publisher version of the document so that the plane 1 character can be included as a plane 1 mapped character. Te document does include some graphics and some background panels that are filled Quick Rectangles behind some of the text. Is transferring the content to a .afpub file straightforward? Or does it have pear-shape possibilities? What is the best approach please? If it is reasonably strightforward I can try to have a go, but it is not absolutely essential but would be nice. The docuent is A4 and I am hoping to publish a PDF document. One thing I have noticed is that the default margins for Affinity publisher are wider than those for PagePlus X7, so i will need to change the margins in Affinity Publisher. You can either: Export a PDF from PagePlus and Open or Place it in Publisher; or Select the document content in PagePlus, Copy, and Paste it into a new document in Publisher. William Overington
On an "an apricot in the hand is worth two on the tree" basis, I have published the PagePlus version. That way I can get the ideas published and then try to produce a version using Affinity Publisher unhurriedly. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/155151-the-colour-check-graphic-used-as-an-illustration-in-a-document/ William Quote Until December 2022, using a Lenovo laptop running Windows 10 in England.
