I am trying to create an A4 5mm dot grid in Affinity Designer. I can do it in Inkscape on the Mac but their latest versions are almost unusable on OSX so I am looking at the Designer software in trial period. I can't find a way to horizontally and vertically space a series of 0.5mm dots on the page. Should I be looking at Affinity Designer or Affinity Publisher? In Inkscape I can use what they call the linked clone tool to do this job. Just want to know if there is anything similar in the Affinity tools.

Another quick way, but with Photo instead and no vectors, would be to create a pattern layer then (see here).

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
