How to increase the area of a trimmed object keeping the original pixel content? Or, how to go from A to B?

I ask this because when using the Perspective Tool, despite having enough canvas to stretch the object, this becomes partially hidden. Its like the original area acts like a mask.

Hi @Lisbon,

If you click the Apply button on the Perspective Tool panel, you should find that the image isn't actually cut off.  At this stage i'm not sure if its a bug or not.  But i will inquire, as it would be handy to see the whole image while using this tool.

Been playing with my basketball.

So, to increase the trimmed area, start by adding a pixel layer above your object and fill it with any colour. It has to be above.
Next we need to reduce the opacity of the top layer. Unfortunately, it can't be 0% so I will reduce the opacity to 1%.
Finally we merge the layers.

Notice that the handles are no longer around the basketball, but around the canvas.

Now, while using the perspective tool we can see the whole image.
