Roberto1972 Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 To start a plugin one needs to click Filter, go down to Plugins, click on Plugins, move mouse to list of plugin categories, click plugin category name, move mouse to list of plugins in category, move mouse to plugin and click desired plugin. Part of this ritual can not be avoided but the list of Plugins being accessible with a toolbar button would already save a heck of annoying clicks for users of plugins. A little button is not in the way of those not using plugins. Alternative would be a keyboard shortcut to Filters - Plugins but that is 'not possible'. Plugin users consider plugins as an important part of the image editor just as much as the other basic tools. Therefore a Plugin -Studio- would be the ideal option but that's likely never going to happen. jimfbk55 1 Quote
mrqasq Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 If you happen to use Windows - you could easily done it AutoIt, actually this and many other "UX" shortcomings can be over with this software Quote
Roberto1972 Posted November 22, 2021 Author Posted November 22, 2021 Hi mrqasq, Haven't heard from AutoIt before but looking at the website it indeed seems to be an other interesting toolbox! Thanks for the tip Quote
Misha1966 Posted November 25, 2021 Posted November 25, 2021 yes, Plugin Studio like known from Photoshop would save us a lot of repeated mouse movements and clicks to make work faster. Quote
jimfbk55 Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 I wholeheartedly agree. I use Topaz AI on almost every photo I process and it would be great to be able to make buttons for plugins, or even just to assign keyboard shortcuts. (M1 MacBook, Big Sur). Quote
