How do I add tags to a post? (split)

Does anyone know how to add a tag to a 'share your work' post? I cannot seem to figure this out at all.

I've added tags but it doesn't appear blue like it does for others. Is that because I'm seeing my own post?

They are blue when you add them, and grey once posted.
