Unable to recover app and license after laptop issues

Sorry if this is a repeated question on this forum, I wasn't able to find anything similar to my issue.

I had some laptop troubles in 2019 where my motherboard was on the fritz. It basically auto-deleted some files and apps, so in order to save the rest, I had to do an emergency transfer of all my items to a hard drive. But, somewhere in that process I think I lost my Affinity photo app? It's been 2 years and now, when I've gone back to the AppStore using the same AppleID, it's asking me to buy the app again. Is there anything I can do to just recover my license for the app?

If you bought from Apple, sign into your Apple Store account with the same email address you used to place the order you will be able to download again from there. 

If you are not seeing the product in your history can I suggest contacting Apple for assistance.
