When I start a new document and put 3.3 inches in affinity designer for my design to work on it, but then when I export it it says 900x900 pixels when I opened it up as 3.3?

to put it on my print on demand site and so on.

please help me figure that out.

thanks

You can’t specify inches on export. A digital image consists of pixels, and the size in inches will depend on the DPI/PPI setting used when sending it to a printer or other output device.

A 990 px × 990 px image printed at 300 DPI will be 3.3″ square.

It’s just a display quirk. It will say 4 x 4 in on the home screen but if you choose the ‘Resize’ option on the Document menu you’ll see that it’s still the 3.600 by 3.600 that you originally set.

Also when I try to change the font size in affinity designer using my iPad it doesn’t work when the objects and background are grouped.
