Layer effects function seems to be affected by pixel layer

Hi,

as the attached files show, the words above the pixel layer didn't have the layer effect.

Is that a bug or there is a rule or logic that I don't get it?

Hi Yenmai,

I cannot say without seeing the document, but I suspect its related to the Layer Effect's blend mode on top of the blend mode used for that Layer.

If you go into your Layer Effect options for the Drop Shadow you can change the blend mode from 'Multiply' to 'Normal' and that should give you the look you desire, though may need to tweak the colour.
