Functionality: Mouse scroll wheel no longer scrolls pages and spreads, just zooming in and out of the page instead?

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Recently updated Affinity Publisher to v1.9.2.1035 but seem to have lost the basic functionality of being able to scroll through pages and spreads using the mouse scroll wheel?

This seemed to be the default previously, but now just seems to zoom in and out of the page (in both Publisher and Studio persona) — is there a way of resetting this to behave the way it did previously?  I have looked on the UI and General preferences sections, but there's no easy or obvious way to add this 'keyboard shortcut'...?

I am a seasoned InDesign user, and I know some habits are hard to unlearn, but the seemingly obtuse manner in which Affinity Studio handles some page layout stuff is making it incredibly difficult to make the transition from InDesign to Publisher.

Is there a resource anyone can point me to that might help ease me gently out of InDesign habits and behaviours?

Cheers.

Mouse wheel scrolling of pages still works here.
Have a look in; Preferences > Tools and make sure ‘Use mouse wheel to zoom’ is deselected.
If it’s still zooming with that deselected then not sure what else might be causing the issue. Perhaps a sticky alt/Option key?
