While working in Vector Persona, will changing the Main View Mode to "Pixel" affect device performance?

Recommended Posts

Guys,

I have been experimenting a bit. In the Navigator studio, by changing the main view mode to "Pixels", working in Vector Persona it feels like performance is actually sped up a bit. - I'm not sure if this is actual or perceived, but it feels good, and my senses tell me that something has really changed. Things seem faster, and even zooming in and out seems less laggy. It's not that things seemed inordinately laggy before, but things just seem smoother.  I will continue to do this for a while and then switch back over to test.

So, - I guess I'm asking. Is this change in performance actual or perceived? Can it be verified with facts and logic, or am I just perceiving a change in performance?

I'm using an iPad Pro 12.9  4th Gen - I'm still working this way and enjoying the heck out of it. -. It's just a bit weird. I don't know why but my eyes seem to like it more or something. So I guess that's what's happening. Perhaps the lack of sharpness from 'Vector" view is somehow imparting a smoother or softer appearance/feel. - I was questioning my senses that's why I asked. - I had this theory that somehow it took more CPU to constantly readjust the main view in Vector mode. I had thought that perhaps the pixel view presented fixed values for any lines or shapes being drawn, and that it would somehow be easier to render; making things just a bit faster. - This is all pseudo sci-fi nonense I'm sure. But yeah - that's where my head was at. Just feels different, and I wondered! Not sure exactly how you could test it.
