Affinity Designer 1.9 Design tip needed

I am doing a simple rocket design using affinity Designer 1.9. The body of the rocket has curved lines (black) and also has tiny rectangles at equal distance from the curve (grey). While you can create rectangles and manually place them, it may not be accurate. Is there an easy way to align the bottom of the grey rectangles to the black curve next to it? This is kind of curved text but the curving object is not text but another object like a rectangle.

I found the workaround, thanks to Rory Townsend on YT. Use curved text, but replace text with the rectangle.

It’s nice that you found a way to do what you want but it would be even nicer if you could add a link to the video which helped you so other people can more-easily find it too.
