I'm looking to switch to a M1 Mac and I'm wondering if my current Mac licenses will transfer to the M1 apps?

Also, I haven't switched laptops since I bought my Affinity apps, is there documentation on how to best transfer to a new laptop? I have brushes and presets I want to make sure get transferred as well.

Thanks!

Where did you purchase your Affinity applications?

If from the Mac App Store: they are licensed to your Apple ID, and as long as you sign-in to the Mac App Store (MAS) on the new machine using the same ID you used for the original purchase, you can simply download/install again from the MAS.

If from the Affinity Store: You can visit https://affinity.store/account/downloads and sign-in with your Affinity Store account, and download the applications again. You will also find the email used for purchase, and the product key, which you will need during the reinstall.

For either: Any content that you purchased from the Affinity Store (brushes, assets, etc.) can be downloaded manually from your account at the Affinity Store, or automatically via the 1.9 Account Sync (My Account) function if you choose to use it.

However, content you acquired outside the store, Presets you created, etc. would have to be copied or exported/imported manually.

This FAQ articles provide more information on where the information is stored:

There is also a tutorial topic on doing backup/restore, I think, but I will have to search for it.
