AZounes
Hello, the Apple app store states that the Affinity Designer app is compatible with the Ipad Air 3 however after I purchased the app I received a message stating that it is not, in fact, compatible with this model and I need to seek a refund for my app purchase. I'm confused because I see people in this forum who have the Ipad Air 3 and are using the Designer app so am I receiving this incompatibility message in error or has the app recently modified to exclude the Air 3? emmrecs01
@AZounes Welcome to the Affinity user forums. The requirements to run Affinity Designer on an iPad are listed on this page. iPad Air 3 is clearly shown so the only other reason that I can see that would be an issue for you is if you are not running at least iOS 12. Staff Dan C Posted April 21, 2021 Staff Share Posted April 21, 2021 Hi @AZounes, Welcome to the forums As Jeff has mentioned above, the Affinity apps are certainly still compatible with the iPad Air 3 - so I'm certainly surprised to hear you're experiencing this error message, our apologies! Can you please open your iPad Settings, then navigate to General > About. You may need to tap on the 'part number' to see the model number - which can also be found on the back of the iPad near the base. What is the exact model number for your iPad please? Equally as mentioned above, an old version of iOS can possibly cause the error message you're referring to - do you know what version of iOS is installed currently? Finally, could you please provide a screenshot of the error message you're seeing? I am almost certain I know the dialog you're referring to in your post - however I'd rather be certain than make assumptions. Many thanks in advance!
