export pdf -> fx outside shadow with fusion mode set to density is not conserved

No problem, the screenshot makes it clearer. I tested it myself on Windows 10 and had no problem. So there must be more, than I can see only from the screenshot. Which export setting did you use? And could we get a hand on your Affinity document?

You have to ask a moderator for a private upload link and to look after your problem. Your PDF export settings are nothing unusual, so I am clueless at this point.
