Pasting Part of One File Onto Another File

Recommended Posts

I have two images that are from two unique files. I want to copy part of one image and paste it onto another image. I'm sure there are plenty of ways to do this, but I can't figure it out. I opened the two files, I expanded the Canvas of file 1 and I selected small part of file 2. It's not letting me paste the image where I want it.

Any help with that would be appreciated...thanks!

It doesn’t get pasted at the cursor or in the centre of the view, it gets pasted at the same coordinates as in the source document. You’ll need to reposition it with the Move Tool.
