Stuck at "Loading 1 document"

Recommended Posts

It's my first time using Affinity Photo. I installed it on my new laptop. Photoshop and GIMP works fine. But Affinity Photo seems to be troublesome. When I open a new image, just any .jpg, it shows, "Loading 1 document" on top right. It doesn't actually do anything. Nothing ever happens. It's stuck. It's been 2 hours now. I've tried killing the app, restarting the computer to no avail. I also tried CTRL when opening the app, then clear all. Nothing helps. I hope someone here can help. Thanks!

Same problem here... "loading 1 document" occurs on some documents and AF Designer 2 freezes.  Can you please offer a solution for AFD2?  performance/open GL is not possible to uncheck directly.  I tried a few other options (software, basic, etc) to no avail.

Thank you, I'm on a mac mini (3.2Ghz 6-core i7, intel UHD graphics 630) running Mac OS Monterey.  Affinity 2 suite.

Then this post from 2019 on Windows relating to Version 1 is unlikely to be the same as your problem on macOs using version 2. Please make a new thread here for us to help investigate
