Document Crashes 1.9.1 upon opening

Recommended Posts

Hi - I've been working with 1.9.1 for a while now on this document, but for some reason its refusing to open now. Affinity cashes when i try to open. I get as far as seeing "1 document Loading" in the top right, then it just closes.

  • What is your operating system and version (Windows 10, OSX Mojave, etc)?
    • Windows 10 Home (20H2)
  • What happened for you (and what you expected to happen)
    • Affinity crashes as soon as I try to open my file
  • Provide a recipe for creating the problem (step-by-step what you did).
    • Open the attached file.
  • Screenshots (very handy) or a screen capture/video.
    • N/A
  • Any unusual hardware (like tablets or external monitors or drives that may affect things) or relevant other applications like font managers or display managers.
    • On a Windows Surface Go & the file is synced with Google Drive.
  • Did this same thing used to work and if so have you changed anything recently? (software or hardware)
    • Nothing I'm aware of has changes.

It loads for me so that points to a resource issue. I would suggest moving the files off of the google drive and relinking the images

Weird - Loaded for me too when I downloaded it and opened the new file.

I've managed to recreate it by editing it on one machine, then trying to open it on another later after Google drive has synced.

Only way I can fix it is by getting gdrive to redownload it to fix it if anyone else ever has this issue.
