sandconp
I have a very large Star Halo from a very bright star (Altinak) in my astronomy image and I was wondering how to remove the Halso using Affinity Pro. I am very new to using Affiniity Pro so I really don't know where to start. I will provide the URL for the TIFF file if you are willing to help me eliminate the halo. I am basically very happy with everything else. https://www.dropbox.com/s/z95dohtqxxvxzrc/B33.tiff?dl=
carl123
Is the tiff file one you have already tried to remove the halo from or one you have just stacked and done nothing else to it? Can't seem to get rid of all the halo effect Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. sandconp
I processed the image all the way through my star alignment and image calibration using a astronomy tool called PixInsight and the result is the TIFF file I shared with you. I do like how you took out the green in my stars. Can you share your process how you accomplished that?

It's just a Live Defringe Layer. (document attached) But bear in mind the Radius slider in this layer only goes to 50px, I had to manually input 300px to increase the effect - I would have pushed it a bit higher but at 300px it was already cooking my CPU 7 minutes ago, sandconp said: I processed the image all the way through my star alignment and image calibration using a astronomy tool called PixInsight and the result is the TIFF file I shared with you. Have you tried doing the whole process in Affinity? B33-4b.afphoto Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
