In photoshop, if I needed to delete a background color, say white, I could use the wand tool and click the white background and it would select all the white, and then delete. I could then save as a png and good to go keeping the transparent background. I don't see a similar tool in affinity. Can someone point me in the right direction?

It's always a good idea to mention the app being used and the operating system.

There are several selection tools in Affinity Photo such as...

  1. Selection Brush Tool
  2. Flood Select Tool
  3. From the menu... Select > Select Sampled Colour
  4. From the menu... Select > Colour Range
  5. From the menu... Select > Tonal Range
  6. There is also a Filter called Remove white paper but that can leave the whole image translucent, there are ways around that by creating a mask but its a clumsy method.

Thank you. The selection brush worked just like the wand in ps. I saw a video on the brush and the person was using it more in a way to paint away the background and didn't even alluded to the fact you can click on the background and select it all at once.
