segref
I have mentioned this before but with the latest release there is no change. I find it quite disconcerting that the list of file names across the top of the screen, see screen shot, is in no particular order. while the overflow list is properly indexed. This is of particular concern when dealing with large numbers of images. Of lesser concern is the list of shapes. They are not grouped in any order. It is a great time waster searching through this list to find "Arrow" squeezed between "square star" and "donut". Surely in such a sophisticated piece of software it is not too much to ask that lists, any list, be indexed for ease of navigation.
John Rostron
The order in which file tabs are displayed is the order in which they are delivered by the Operating System. Photo would have to sort them after all the files were loaded. For many purposes such sorting would be unnecessary. I would suggest an option in the File menu to sort tabs alphabetically John Quote Windows 11, Affinity Photo 2.4.2 Designer 2.4.2 and Publisher 2.4.2 (mainly Photo).
