Frankiboy
Work environment: Affinity Photo Version 1.9.0.932, Windows 10 Hello Affinity team, I just work through your workbook (page 153, "mamtor"). I found strange square within the picture. Depending on the resolution of the picture the squares changes size and position. If the picture resolution is very low, the squres disappear. The workflow was as shown in your woorkbook on the pages 144-153. I never had an problem like this with Affinity and I am working quite a long time with the software. Therefore I assume, that this has something to do with the update. Please verify the problem and feedback the result asap. Best regards Frank mam_tor.afphoto
Staff MEB Posted February 24, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 24, 2021 Hi @Frankiboy, Welcome to Affinity Forums This is most likely due to some issues with hardware acceleration we implemented in v1.9 for Windows. Please go to menu Edit > Preferences, Performance section and untick the Enable OpenCL compute acceleration checkbox. Restart the app then check if you are still experiencing these issues. What's your computer specs, namely graphic card/driver version? Frankiboy 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

ChronMast
Dear Affinity, I have experienced the same problem in version 1.90 and 1.91 with exporting JPEGs at varying resolutions and other export formats. De-selecting the OpenCL seems like a band aid type work-around. When does Serif plan on fixing this issue?
Staff MEB Posted March 1, 2021 Staff Share Posted March 1, 2021 Hi @ChronMast, Welcome to Affinity Forums We are still working on some hardware accelerated related issues that have been reported/brought up after 1.9 release. There's a huge number of configurations (graphics cars/drivers etc) available on Windows which makes it a bit complex but we will get there. What's your system specs (graphics cars/drivers versions if possible)? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
