MaiglSens
Hey guys, I'm fairly new here but I'm really happy with all the affinity programs so far. I still have a question about publisher, though. Is there a way in publisher to enter a full screen page preview mode like in Adobe InDesign? An equivalent to the shortcut "[Shift]+W"? All I can find in Publisher is the "preview mode" but that only effects all the guides and boxes and stuff. Then I could also press [Tab] in addition to get rid of all the toolbars and stuff. But I can't figure out a way to get rid of everything and just see the current page maximized to my screen without anything program related (e.g. page outlines ...). Thanks in advance for helping me out here. Cheers Michael rvsf
ReneCGN
Unfortunatelly there is no full screen with publisher. You can only fade the menu by pressing the Tab key.
MaiglSens
@ReneCGN Thank you for the qucik reply. Hmmm... that's unfortunate... Do you by any chance know a good way to bring this to the developers attention? Because at least for me and quite a lot of my friends this is a major function in InDesign we always use... Lorox
I initially missed that handy InDesign preview feature in Publisher, too, but I just found: at least here on Mac you can go to „Window > Toggle Full Screen ([control]+[cmd]+F)“ to hide the regular Mac menu bar and then use the Tab key to hide everything else of the Affinity UI (you might also have to switch off the rulers [cmd+R] separately if you had these active). Doing all this I get just the document on the background (grey, black whatever) I've chosen in the Publisher Prefs. No need to mess with that Mac standard green dot in the window's upper left corner – you can do it all with just those keyboard shortcuts. To get back to normal view just do these steps in reversed order. Hope it helps!
