Affinity Photo - Linking on iPad with Links Panel

Recommended Posts

Missed the Live presentation event, since on GMT...and being in U.S., which is unfortunate because had so many questions in general. But oh well...

1- One in particular is Linking on iPad...using Links display panel.

In James’ demo....he displays the Links display panel, then simply selects a Layer, then selects another layer to drag to Links panel to assign...as he ‘drags/hovers’ above (what would be the small ‘square’ icon at front) to assign, he’s given an ‘arrow prompt’ to show he is indeed on correct place to assign (similar if say assigning a Layer/Adjustment on iPad by blue highlight bar).
Assigns as intended....works awesome btw...but did take me more than several attempts, to figure out that...have to be directly over the little ‘square icon- not just the row it is on.

Now that I know...of course love it!  But at times still have to be careful as no indicator is given, and can have to repeat if didn’t quite hit that sweet spot.

2- Figuring out the work flow...and learning more and more (is really incredible how much can be done)...but is there a way to simply as you would Tap the link icon (area it is at least) to already linked files, and add a that specific one missing from the other (Instead of re-dragging)?

Overall can’t say it enough..just updated and loving even the scratched surface I have done thus far. Hopefully, some more iPad video showcases coming.

Thanks, loving it so far!,

Hi Studio Jason,

I think at this point in time the only way to add more linked layers is to reselect and do another duplicate linked with the layers you need included.

Thanks
