Girlinabillion
Hi there! I keep trying to send my files for print, and they keep coming back telling me that my layers have all been flattened. I've tried PSD, TIFF, and EPS. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, and I can never tell, because when I open the file in Affinity Designer, the layers are there. What am I doing wrong? walt.farrell
The TIFF format does not have layers. It does allow applications to embed proprietary data, and some applications (such as Photoshop and Affinity) will do that. So you can have a TIFF with "Affinity layers" for example, but only Affinity understands them. You might try PDF. Girlinabillion
Interesting. When I download their tiff template, it has layers. So you're saying they must be Adobe (most likely) layers and Affinity can read them, but Adobe can't read Affinity layers. That would make sense. I'll try PDF from now on then- though I've had mixed results with that too. Sometimes the layers come through and sometimes not. I suppose I'll have to pay more attention to the settings that work and the ones that don't. Thanks!
