  1. Interesting. When I download their tiff template, it has layers. So you're saying they must be Adobe (most likely) layers and Affinity can read them, but Adobe can't read Affinity layers. That would make sense. I'll try PDF from now on then- though I've had mixed results with that too. Sometimes the layers come through and sometimes not. I suppose I'll have to pay more attention to the settings that work and the ones that don't. Thanks!
  2. Hi there! I keep trying to send my files for print, and they keep coming back telling me that my layers have all been flattened. I've tried PSD, TIFF, and EPS. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, and I can never tell, because when I open the file in Affinity Designer, the layers are there. What am I doing wrong? Amanda
  3. Oh my gosh- thank you Walt! My brain just didn't register that particular option as being something that could help. That does the trick!! Much appreciated!
  4. Hi there- I do a lot of batch processing of photos, where I open up the whole batch of photos and then use the same tools on each one. (I am using the macro and batch processing where possible). My problem is that with tools that are grouped, such as Dodge, Burn, and Sponge, when I go to the next photo and press the keyboard shortcut (O in this case), it goes to the next tool in the group, not the last one that I used that is active. For example, say I'm using the Dodge tool on a photo, then save and close and move onto the next file - when I press O it goes to Burn. If I keep pressing, it will go to Sponge, then again back to Dodge. So it's quicker for me to just grab the mouse and click the icon to get the last used tool. Tools that don't have a grouping work fine, such as Crop. On a related note, it would be awesome if there was a way to keep the last tool I used active when switching between files. I'm fine with the program defaulting to the Hand each time I open the program, but when I'm in the program working between multiple files open at the same time, it would be nice to just keep my last tool used, regardless of which file I was working on, active. Is there an option for something like this that I haven't found? I'm using Windows 10 with Affinity Photo 1.8.5.703. Thanks! Amanda
  5. Hi! Can I revive this thread? I have version 1.8.3.641 and I'm having a similar issue. Steps: Create new document (size doesn't seem to matter), flood fill with black, add noise Gaussian 100%, add levels adjustment: black adjustment 34% white adjustment 39%, click merge. The resulting image is not quite the same as the original pixel layer, or the pixel layer with the separate adjustment layer above it. It's like it's somewhere in the middle. I've tried just leaving the adjustment layer, and then doing various merges- merge down, merge visible, selecting the order in which I click them before merging. Nothing seems to work. I'm attaching 4 files- one is the Affinity file with the adjustment layer still separate, and then three screenshots to show 1. Original noise pixel layer, 2. Separate adjustment layer, 3. Adjustment layer merged Please let me know if anyone can replicate the issue or if it's just me or how I set things up or what? But I've always just hit the Merge button after creating an adjustment if I wanted to rasterize it to the layer. I'm on a Windows 10 64bit 4k monitor Lenovo Yoga, which is what I've always used and Affinity Photo was the only program running at the time. Thanks! Amanda MergeAdjustment.afphoto
