Hi there-
I do a lot of batch processing of photos, where I open up the whole batch of photos and then use the same tools on each one. (I am using the macro and batch processing where possible). My problem is that with tools that are grouped, such as Dodge, Burn, and Sponge, when I go to the next photo and press the keyboard shortcut (O in this case), it goes to the next tool in the group, not the last one that I used that is active. For example, say I'm using the Dodge tool on a photo, then save and close and move onto the next file - when I press O it goes to Burn. If I keep pressing, it will go to Sponge, then again back to Dodge. So it's quicker for me to just grab the mouse and click the icon to get the last used tool. Tools that don't have a grouping work fine, such as Crop.
On a related note, it would be awesome if there was a way to keep the last tool I used active when switching between files. I'm fine with the program defaulting to the Hand each time I open the program, but when I'm in the program working between multiple files open at the same time, it would be nice to just keep my last tool used, regardless of which file I was working on, active. Is there an option for something like this that I haven't found?
I'm using Windows 10 with Affinity Photo 1.8.5.703.
Thanks!
Amanda
