Selecting text and shapes on just one page

Recommended Posts

Hi Affinity Experts,

I made a mistake with KDP margins, so I need to resize the spacing of each page of my book. I can do "command A" and select everything on page 1 and page 2 (please see attached video for demonstration). However, I'd like to quickly select everything on JUST page 1 or JUST page 2.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thank you

Hi @Steve_1010,

Apologies for the delayed response here!

I can see from your screen recording that you're trying to use a marquee-selection to select all objects on Page 1. By default you have to draw a marquee selection with your cursor that covers the full object if you want to select it, and I can see from your recording that your selection is intersecting with all of the objects on Page 1, but it is not encompassing the object, so it is not being selected.

You can however change this setting, if you open Affinity Publisher > Preferences > Tools you can enable Select objects when intersects with selection marquee'image.png

This will ensure that any object is selected, provided the marquee intersects with the objects selection box at any point, and you should no longer need to draw a selection around the full object to select it.

I hope this helps :)
