  1. Hmm, the way it is displaying in the forum is different from the way it displays in the Mac finder. Here's what I'm seeing.
  2. Thanks to everyone's help, I've been able to apply the transparency tool to the table (which needs to be grouped). Cheers for that. My problem I'm encountering when I export this file is that it's not following the PNG format I was expecting. The background which I would expect to be completely transparent is one white rectangle (as seen in the fa.png attachment) The checkmarkgradient.png attachment is what I was expecting (I am not sure how I successfully achieved it in the second attachment). I've tried a variety of approaches, e.g., export "Selection Area" and "Selection Only", but I've had no luck in reproducing this effect. Any suggestions how to make the white areas completely transparent?
  3. Hi Carl, Got it, Cheers. Here is the file that worked at one point. But it started not working. I think it might be the grouping situation. table 2.afpub
  4. Hi Carl, That file I included is just a copy and paste from the file I originally used (it was just too big to include). Here's an example of what I did yesterday with the same table. There is no '4' in this file as I was trying to eliminate excess to find the problem.
  5. Hi Ando, Thank you for the suggestions. I wasn't sure what you meant by using the white rectangle, but I followed your video on making a group, and that fixed it. Thank you for taking the time to make the video, that was appreciated.
  6. Hi, I'm trying to put a transparency on a table. It's worked countless times in the past but now ONLY the text of the table is becoming transparent, not the actual table itself. Any suggestions how to get the table and text to follow the transparency tool? Thank you so much, Steve. table transparency.afpub
  7. Thank you Lisbon. I had fiddled with the clone brush tool, too but I didn't know there was a flip function. I'm searching for it now. I only see a horizontal flip option for the picture. Could you tell me where to access the rotation scale flip window?
  8. Hi Affinity people, Part of this lady's shoulder was out of the image. I'd like to copy the other shoulder, flip it, then paste it into the other side to make it look like two shoulders. Not having any luck with this. Any suggestions on how to do this? Cheers, Steve. Raquel no background 2.afphoto
  9. Hi Forum Masters, I'm a newbie with Affinity Photo. I'm trying to change the paper-esque lightbulb below using the Colour Change Brush. I would like to change the yellow to a gold colour in the picture below: . Affinity appears to be blending the gold target colour with the original yellow colour. There is only a slight change (see pic below): Where as, what I'd really like is the gold colour (while maintaining the same texture): Any suggestions on how to do this? Cheers, Steve
  10. Thank you Thomaso, for all the information. That's very helpful. The next version won't be printed for at least 6 months, but I'll convert the PNGs to Tiff and put them in the file. I'll keep my fingers crossed and see what happens in 6 months... Again, thank you the advice.
