Sabz
I was working on my 200 pages book when quite a few things started acting strangely. Pictures began disappearing and randomly appearing where I hadn't inserted them. Then the document started crashing upon save and save as. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Staff Callum Posted January 28, 2021 Staff Share Posted January 28, 2021 Hi Sabz, Welcome to the forums I'm sorry to hear your document appears to be corrupt in some way. How large is the document and are the images embedded or linked? Are you able to replicate the behaviour regarding the images at all or provide a screen recording of it? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Sabz
Thanks so much Callum. The document is 4.99 MB and the images are embedded. I think it is a pinned object issue as it all started when I was trying to stop the text from each chapter bypassing the chapter heading page and running into the next chapter. I'm fairly new to Affinity Publisher and didn't know a better way to do this than to pin things to each other, hoping that they would flow forward together. I have tried to delete all the pins to see if the file stops being corrupt, but haven't managed to fix it. So I would really appreciate you taking a look at it. In terms of the images, an image that I use for my chapter pages, which at the moment is placed on a master page, started appearing outside of the field of the page on the master page. I couldn't see it on the master page but it appeared randomly throughout the document. It doesn't behave like it would be a part of the master page because the image can be freely selected and modified without needing to be unlocked. Also I just realised that the at times the document crashes simply by being left open and quite randomly.
