How can I reset the bounding box ?

Recommended Posts

Let's say, I create a rectangled polygon with 6 points (0.png).
Then I select the object (1.png).
Then I rotate the object around 45 degrees (2.png)
Then I transform (=shift) 2 of the 6 points of the object (3.png)

If I select the object now, I still got a rotated bounding box (4.png), while under Serif Draw X8 editing a point of the object lead to a recalculation of the bounding box with no rotation.
The size of this rotated bounding box is used when I orientate the object at another object. And it it is used, when I export the vector-object as an image.
This ist not, what I want.

What I want is a bounding box like the red one (5.png).
Just like the bounding box would be, if I would have created the object in its final shape right from the start without the intermediate states to a rotation
(6.png).

Is there a way, to reset the bounding box ? I studied the manual and tried several things, but nothing seems to reset the bounding box to it's non-rotated state.

Have the element selected with the Move tool and click on the Context Toolbar the button "Cycle Selection Box". This action is only temporary and reverts to the former bounding box when you deselect the element.
