  1. Thank you for your reply. It's really a trick, to use a boolean "add", which implies two objects, on a single object. But it works.
  2. Let's say, I create a rectangled polygon with 6 points (0.png). Then I select the object (1.png). Then I rotate the object around 45 degrees (2.png) Then I transform (=shift) 2 of the 6 points of the object (3.png) If I select the object now, I still got a rotated bounding box (4.png), while under Serif Draw X8 editing a point of the object lead to a recalculation of the bounding box with no rotation. The size of this rotated bounding box is used when I orientate the object at another object. And it it is used, when I export the vector-object as an image. This ist not, what I want. What I want is a bounding box like the red one (5.png). Just like the bounding box would be, if I would have created the object in its final shape right from the start without the intermediate states to a rotation (6.png). Is there a way, to reset the bounding box ? I studied the manual and tried several things, but nothing seems to reset the bounding box to it's non-rotated state.
  3. Thanks for the replies to evenly alpha-setting. My fault, I missed that until now, probably because I looked for alpha-settings only to the alpha-setting-tool, not at the color palette :(
  4. It's disappointing, that the new Affinity Designer lacks some colour blending modes, which I found very useful in Serif Draw Plus X8: quadratical, 4corner-colour-blending, 3colour-blending, grid. I would like to see them in the new product also. Neither Serif Draw Plus X8 nor Affinity Designer has an option to set transparency to an object evenly. Of cause you can achieve this for example with setting linear transparency and then choosing the same alpha values for start- and endalpha. But if you are experimenting with a range of alpha values to find the best fitting, it would be much more convenient, if you would have an option "set alpha evenly" to change the value for (like you have an option to fill an object with a coulor evenly).
  5. When you choose "File" -> "Edit in Affinity Photo", the document is transferred to Affinity Photo and vanishes from Affinity Designer. For working with varying drawings I would find it useful if there were a second possibility: "File" -> "Edit Copy in Affinity Photo", which lets the document stay in Affinity Designer while it opens a copy of it in Affinity Photo.
