Thank you Hokusai様

Yes i forgot to mention which software I was talking about and that is AP and Yes in my OS X settings the japanese language is activated.

I just checked one more time right now in AP opening a new document -> selecting text tool -> switch to かな through keyboard -> it keep writing in english ...

I even tried to switch the language to ひらがな from OS X toolbar and when i write on the document squared box are showing instead of the かな but if i press the space bar for the conversion it show the submenu window to choose the 漢字 ... but only square box i see.

it is funny because it should work as you said but as I check in my OS X system i can confirm that ENGLISH is my primary language and 日本語 as the second language.

So here I am with the obvious question: what to do or how to?

thanks again

cheers

CID、New CID、TrueType

daru,

Just to add to what bamboo8R, you can check which fonts support Japanese by using FontBook. If you go to Fontbook and then select a font and click "information" you will see the supported languages. I've attached an image that shows this. I hope it helps.
