When I import a RAW file exposed in my Nikon D7000 the orientation is ignored and all images are presented for development as landscape. This is disconcerting and unsatisfactory. If I import from my Nikon D5100 Affinity develop persona distinguishes between landscape and portrait. Is there something I am doing wrong, or does Affinity need a fix?

Works for me with a Nikon D7000 under APh v.1.8.4 MacOS for portrait orientation images. - You might check if the NEF Exif data is shown/accessible correctly and also that the used lens type is recognized correctly.

I had the same problem on my Canon. At some point in time I had turned off an orientation thing on the camera itself.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
