Ivan De Vos
Hallo , I’m working with Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo on my IPad Pro . I’m from Belgium where we use Azerty-Keyboards . Designer supports the Azerty-keyboards but Photo doesn’t . Can this be fixed ? Ivan
Staff Pauls Posted December 24, 2020 Staff Share Posted December 24, 2020 what type of keyboard are you using and where in Photo are you seeing this difference in operation ?
Ivan De Vos
Depending on where I am , I use a Logitech K780 (Azerty ) or a Cherry SX Compact ( Azerty ) . If I don't use an external Keyboard , Photo presents a Qwerty On-screen-keyboard ; Designer shows me a Azerty one . But I don't like to use the Screen-KB . I like to have as much "screen" as possible when I'm working on images . The problem is general . I encounter the problem as soon as I have to type a letter ( ok in Englisch ? ) for example in a Art Text or Textframe , or if I type the filename and so on . Staff Pauls Posted January 4, 2021 Staff Share Posted January 4, 2021 Could you confirm the settings for language locale and Keyboard setups in the iPad settings please. I've been unable to replicate this behaviour. Also what type of iPad and OS version are you using ?
Ivan De Vos
My IPad is a IPad Pro MTXP2NF/A running on IpadOS 14.3 Language is Dutch. Keyboardsettings = Nederlands ( België ) - Azerty
Staff Pauls Posted January 4, 2021 Staff Share Posted January 4, 2021 the only thing I can think of is you may have swicthed photo to use a different keyboard somehow. Have you tried cycling through the different keyboards on the on-screen keyboards ?
Ivan De Vos
Cycling through different Keyboards on the On-screen keyboards ? There are no such things ! How to explain the difference in behavior between Photo and Designer ? Please better proposition.
Ivan De Vos
This morning I tried the old fashion Windows-way. Photo-app deleted. Reinstalled it . Surprise : Photo now shows and supports Azerty-keyboard ! My problem seems to be solved . Don’t ask me how . Never the less , thank you for taken my problem seriously and the help given .
