Bronze
I purchased Affinity Photo an Designer, macOS-Ver 1.8.6. I have a older version of Affinity Photo and Designer on my Mac. Staff Lee D Posted December 3, 2020 Staff Share Posted December 3, 2020 I recomend double checking your original apps first, they should be able to be updated to 1.8.6 from the store you purchased them from as any updates we release for our 1.XX vesions are free. Once your apps are updated you may want to look at getting a refund for the new versions you've purchased.
v_kyr
Another point of caution for those who want to migrate or update MacOS Big Sur is, to check first yourself for having enough available disk space, so you don't have trouble when migrating to or updating Big Sur! Quote The macOS Big Sur upgrade is not checking to make sure enough free HD space is available. The upgrade will start, then run out of space and fail. If FV2 encryption is enabled, you will be locked out of your data! See for example: Big Sur Upgrade not Enough Free Space = Serious Issue & Possible Data Loss!
