Chris Jones
Hello. Can anyone tell me if it's possible for Affinity Publisher to recognise a folder location for missing images, and update the path to all of them, all at once? I am using a Publisher document on my MacBook and the images in my document live on my networked iMac. I am using Resource Manager to manually and individual 'replace' the images from the source folder to ensure that they appear as 'OK' in Resource Manager, but having to do this one at a time is a bit of a pain. Is there a way to tell my Publisher document to always look in the networked folder for the linked images and thereby update them all at once? Many thanks for your help. Chris Jones
Unfortunately, this doesn't work for me. I have tried clicking on 'Yes" when the missing file/s dialogue pop up occurs when Publisher is in the process of opening the document and I have located the image that is described in the "Locate missing resource" header, but after locating it and clicking Open, (it is on a networked folder on the Mac), Publisher just goes to the next image that is missing and asks me to locate that one. This continues until hit 'cancel'. It never seems to identify that all of the missing images live in the same location and intelligently re-link all of them as it does in InDesign. Chris Jones
I think this is an issue with the location of the image and Publisher files being not located on the MacBook, but located on a networked iMac. I tried the method described above and, if using a Publisher file and image files on the same computer, the process of Publisher re-linking all of the Missing images seems to work.
