rseals
Hi - I'm scanning B&W negs from a flatbed in 16-bit using Silverfast, and saving them as jp2. Opening them Affinity Photo results in a warning that it is being assigned an RGB profile because none is assigned; the resultant image is B&W noise. What am I missing? Staff MEB Posted November 24, 2020 Staff Share Posted November 24, 2020 Hi @rseals, Welcome to Affinity Forums I believe we already have a similar issue logged but do you mind attaching a sample jp2 from Silverfast to check and add to our report (or fill a new one if none exists) please? Thank you. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
rseals
Yes - I realized that Silverfast has a config option to add one of a couple of grayscale profiles to the file. So, tried that: TIFF no profile: AP adds a D50 profile and the image looks good TIFF w/profile: AP uses the profile and image looks good JP2 with OR without profile: assigns RGB profile and image is random Example with generic gray 2.2 profile attached. AP v 1.8.6 Thanks! Test-jp2-prof.jp2
