Incorrect filename in .pdf export

Recommended Posts

Hi,

This was reported in the Questions forum but it persists in 1.9.0.850

Insert a Filename field into your .afpub document.

Export as a pdf, give it a different name.

Open the pdf - the original .afpub file name is changed to the name of the exported pdf.

Worse still, the Filename field in the Fields panel in Publisher is also updated to show the name of the exported .pdf:

Before export (ureport2.afpub):

After export, see Filename field:

Exported .pdf:

If you save, close and re-open the .afpub document, the .pdf filename is replaced with the correct .afpub filename.

I believe the correct behaviour should be for the original .afpub filename to be retained in the exported .pdf and in the Fields panel in Publisher.

For bonus points, the .afpub file has never been printed so I don't believe there should be a Printed date in the Fields panel.

Cheers,

H
