Just a  question : why is it apple that need to send  the  update and not Affinity ?

I can confirm that on iPad we use the Apple Core RAW engine, which is built into iPad OS for RAW support in Affinity.

However on the desktop we use a mix of LibRAW and our own library for RAW support in Affinity.

When new cameras are released, in order for Affinity to support them on the iPad, Apple need to add support through their Core RAW engine.

In order for us to add support on the desktop, either LibRAW needs to update to support them, or our developers need direct contact with the camera manufacturer to help the development stage with these new RAW files.

I can confirm that unfortunately neither Apple, nor LibRAW have added support for these above mentioned models yet - and we equally we have not been provided the required information direct from Canon to be able to develop these images.

I hope this helps!
