Question about workflow in Designer and Photo

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon.

Could you help me with some features of the programs.

Affinity Designer:

Is there a tool that allows you to select an object that is very deep in a group of objects?
And do it in one click.

How do I save values in my document settings after I turn margins off and on again?
For some reason, they are reset to 0.

Also, periodically I am faced with the problem of hanging the program, after which I have to drop it.
Did anyone come across a similar situation? What to do in this case?

Affinity Photo:

How do I customize my program to keep my tools settings?
I have to change for myself every time and it is very uncomfortable.

How to create a layer mask so that it is inside and this happens constantly?
I.e. make this the default action.

cmd+click the object on the canvas

that's the way the app is, despite years of requests for sticky tool settings

the control is in the Assistant (click tuxedo icon in main toolbar at top of app window)

Were you meaning if it is buried, with other layers on top?  If so then no there isn't a one click method.  cmd click will select the top layer.  Then a opt click will step down through the layers that share that spot.  I don't know how it would work to have a method to select a buried layer with one click.  AI had a handy option that would give a list of layers residing at that spot, then with a click you could pick the correct layer.  But even that took a few click/keystrokes.
