Marilynn
I am looking for, but not finding, an equivalent to Mac Pages' Arrange/Distribute Objects Evenly. The closest action in Publisher is to Duplicate then move the duplicated line to desired position. Further iterations will replicate the spacing, BUT if I need to adjust or add to the grouping later I need to start all over. In Pages, any time you want to rearrange the lines you place the first and last where you want them, select all the lines, then Arrange/Distribute Objects Evenly/Vertical (or Horizontal or Evenly, depending upon the orientation and desired arrangement), and no matter how many lines are between the first and last they are spaced evenly between those two. walt.farrell
You should find the capability you're looking for via the Alignment icon on the Toolbar: You'll find Help here: https://affinity.help/publisher/English.lproj/pages/ObjectControl/distribute.html and here: https://affinity.help/publisher/English.lproj/pages/ObjectControl/align.html Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Marilynn
Thank you! I was looking for that setting in Text/Alignment or View/Studio. I'm still getting used to this program and I have a tendency to ignore many of the icons in the toolbar and use the drop down menu instead. Your help saved my sanity, because I knew it had to be somewhere! Edited September 20, 2020 by Marilynn
walt.farrell
You're welcome. For menus, by the way, it's under Layer > Alignment.
