ICC profile for Pixma pro-100 art paper

Recommended Posts

I posted this question on the desktop forum BUT I also use (and prefer) my ipad pro ;

Are there any users that know which icc colour profile is best when saving or printing an image on ART paper for a Pixma Pro-100 printer ?
I am getting faded results with the default. There doesn’t seem to be any Canon drivers for Serif products?

extra info ; I am using a cold press A3 250gms - 115lb paper.

Fingers crossed,

Printer drivers are operating system wide installed and shared resources, meaning that any third party software like Affinity reuses the OS system drivers for the specific printer (a Canon Pixma Pro-100) in your case. So you have to download and install an appropriate Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer driver version for the operating system you are using (Win or MAC) from Canon.

On the Canon website you will also find information about printer and paper types and related ICC profiles, see for example there "ICC Profiles for Canon Pro Printers". - Further do printer paper manufactors also offer informations and profiles related to and for their specific papers and different printer types.

For the iPad things are probably more restricted and here it depends how it communicates with the printer then and how to add specific paper profiles there. Usually mainly via AirPrint and/or the WLAN then.

Also AFAI recall for iOS, only "Targeted color management - iOS sRGB" or possibly P3 on an iPad Pro 9.7 "is available for general and for all applications. - See Apple" Technical Note TN2313, Best Practices for Color Management in OS X and iOS ". The device displays themselve are mostly sRGB bound, the color management functionality (even there is) is restricted and mostly handled by apps themselve.
